Lauren and Markie

Lauren Ash Morgan, born in 1981 and a member of SSC's Board of Directors since the year 2011, was the founding co-artistic director of Speech of Fire. The producer was also, costume/set designer writer/composer, and the text coach for SSC during her time as its Artistic Director. Though she typically led the acting group, in her last season as an actor in SSC King Lear, she took on the role of director and light designer.
